Advanced Operating System for modern surveillance requirements
Built in the field, not on a whiteboard
"Defense technology is not a business model — it is a responsibility."
An operating system for fleets that are allowed to fail
The software layer above your flight controller.
German-Swarm Technology is building a deterministic swarm operating system for heterogeneous, vendor-agnostic UxV fleets — designed for environments where jamming, partial failure and loss of communication are the normal case, not the exception.
GST is not a hardware vendor. Vehicles built on PX4, ArduPilot, ROS2 or a custom stack self-register over a standardized interface and are validated and bound in real time — the fleet composition can change without the operating system itself changing.
Hardware Abstraction Layer
Air, ground and water vehicles from different manufacturers self-register over a standardized interface and operate under one stable control layer. Fleet composition can change — through loss or procurement — without the operating system itself changing.
Secured Networking
Authenticated, encrypted overlay mesh with no cloud dependency in the control loop and no single point of failure. The operator owns the entire data path.
Declarative Mission Logic
Missions are versioned, auditable scenario files built as structured phase graphs, not black-box autonomy. Human decision points are architecturally enforced, not organizationally promised — the machine proposes, the operator decides.
Navigation Integrity
No blind trust in GNSS: a staged navigation fallback continuously classifies how much the fleet can trust its own position estimate — and detects spoofing in seconds — responding with pre-declared behavior instead of improvisation.
Semantic Audit Log
Every registration, mission binding and control event is written to a replayable, hash-verified audit log — the basis for incident investigation, insurance claims and regulatory evidence.
Deterministic Runtime
A deliberate choice to avoid ROS 2/Python and cloud-routed components in the control loop, so behavior stays reproducible, auditable and certifiable.
Built on open standards, not lock-in
Standards-first interoperability
Built on open protocols — MAVLink 2, ROS 2 DDS, STANAG 4586, Cursor-on-Target — with proprietary adapters only where a platform demands one.
Plug-and-play command & control
Positions, sensor overlays and mission tasking flow as Cursor-on-Target events into TAK, the C2 standard already used across defense and public-safety operations — no proprietary ground station required.
Offline-capable mission planning
GIS-based planning with local map tiles, built for field operations without a network connection.
Certification hygiene
A clear boundary: German-Swarm Technology owns software certification, partners own hardware — so responsibility never blurs during a certification review.
How individual states are computed internally — fusion logic, thresholds, allocation rules — remains protected know-how. What's visible from the outside is the effect: a fleet that stays predictable under real-world conditions. The platform is commercialized through a tiered annual licensing model with an option for a perpetual license, alongside scoped proof-of-concept deployments for early partners.
Dual-use from day one
The origin is defense: Ukrainian drone manufacturers as first partners and testbed, with a clear path toward NATO/EU procurement processes, where certifiability and traceability aren't a nice-to-have — they're a precondition.
The same architecture, translated for civilian use, addresses regulated commercial markets that increasingly demand exactly what the system already provides structurally:
BVLOS & U-space
Navigation safety as a provable system property, not a promise.
Inspection & Survey
Under GNSS constraints: underground mining, port and bridge inspection, indoor logistics.
Linear Infrastructure
Offshore wind, rail/pipeline/grid corridors, search-and-rescue grid sweeps — formation geometry holds even under position jamming.
Regulated Operators & Insurers
Certification bodies, safety cases (SORA), insurance underwriting — machine-readable evidence instead of log archaeology.
Critical Infrastructure
Energy and utility operators, port authorities, public safety — sovereign communications infrastructure with no cloud dependency.
Mixed-Fleet Operators
Vendor independence decouples the procurement decision from the operating software.
German-Swarm Technology deliberately pursues a dual-use position: the same engineering foundation, two vocabularies, two markets — with the defense context as stress test and reference, and the civilian market as the scaling lever.
14 scenarios, one operating system
Every mission profile — ISR, logistics, evacuation, air defense, reconnaissance — runs on the same swarm operating system in software-in-the-loop simulation before anything touches real hardware, including where the system pauses for an operator decision.
